Teen Programs at Eastern Wyoming College – Douglas Campus


Starting January 15, 2019, the Boys & Girls Club of Douglas will start a middle school and high school teen program at the Eastern Wyoming College – Douglas Campus!

Teen Program Details:

  • Only open to middle school and high school students.
  • Middle school and high school will have separate program areas.
  • Teens will be playing fun games, building drones and other STEM-related activities, learning to build resumes and budgets all while doing it in a fun way.
  • Each month we will have different themed programs.
  • The programs will be run by three Teen Center Coordinators that work in the CCSD#1 school district daily and will most likely know the teens that come.

Each day teens will have a chance to win cool prizes and build memories!

January – 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31
February – 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28
March – 5, 19, 21, 26, 28
April – 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
May – 2, 7, 9
Location: EWC – Douglas Campus (800 S. Wind River Drive, Douglas)

Cost is only $10 and teens have access to all the program dates listed above

 Registration Details:

  • Registrations forms must be filled out to be part of the program
  • A participant will only be allowed to come one time without the registration forms
  • $10 to be paid with return of registration forms
  • Registration forms can be found HERE  and can be turned in on the first day of the program or turned in to the Boys & Girls Club of Douglas main building at 135 S. 4th St.
  • As stated in the registration forms, transportation to and from EWC is the parent/guardians responsibility. Middle school participants can walk from the middle school to EWC and high school students can ride bus 19 to the middle school and walk to EWC unless they are driving. Parents/guardians will need to arrange with the CCSD#1 transportation department, if riding the bus will be the mode of transportation.  Program time ends at 5:00 pm and all participants must have a plan on how to get home by 5:00 pm.  Please see registration forms on detailed transportation.

We will be partnering a few days out of each month with the Converse County Hope Center. We also hope to partner with other local organizations and businesses to bring in their knowledge around our themed programs.

What are the additional benefits for my teen to join?

  • Teens that have been involved in the Boys & Girls Club for at least 2 years can apply for numerous scholarships including scholarships with the University of Wyoming.
  • Teens can also become eligible to be part of the Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year, which also comes with scholarship money and a chance to compete against other teens from Wyoming and possibly Nationally.
