history

The Boys and Girls Club of Douglas began its legacy of dedicated service to the youth of Douglas, WY in September 2002 as a response to the community's call for after school and summer programming for young people. It first started as a branch of under the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming and operated as such until February of 2010 when it became an independant club.

The club was first located in the primary school and utilized the gym, two classrooms, and the playground. In response to the surge in membership, the Douglas Branch relocated to the former Douglas Roller Skating Rink; which is owned by the City of Douglas. The community-renovated facility has become an integral part of the city's goal to serve all youth- especially those who need us the most.
